Unique Client
Needs
Dementia is a brain disease on-the-rise with the number of its victims steadily growing throughout the country. Even so, our society at large is ill-equipped to meet the needs of those who suffer from this confusing, debilitating disease.
Three Pillars Senior Living Communities has a rich heritage of providing comprehensive care for this growing population. They want to be catalysts of community-wide conversations to help dementia victims and their families engage with those around them without fear of being misunderstood or rejected. What Three Pillars needed was a vessel through which to communicate their message to mass audiences.
Client
Goals
Three Pillars engaged Premio Media to craft a film which would broadcast this mission. Their goal with the film was threefold:
1 – Raise awareness on the growing quantity of dementia victims, as well as the nature of the disease and its devastating effects.
2 – Equip communities to engage with dementia victims which they may already know or may come into contact with.
3 – Raise funds to further the Three Pillars’ effort in equipping communities to become dementia-friendly.
Premio
Results
Premio produced a 22-minute documentary film which followed 9 residents and their families through their struggle with the disease. We captured the daily highs and lows for these residents, as well as a succinct, helpful perspective from professional nursing staff who deal with the disease every day.
The film was featured at a fund raising gala hosted by the client in April 2019, and lead to a successful capital campaign for Three Pillars Senior Living Communities’ dementia-friendly efforts.
